BitBlt Windows 7

Greetings,

using C and BitBlt and friends for rendering I notice that with Windows 7, having
'Visual Styles for Windows and Menus' enabled, the performance drops dramatically:

Windows 7 Visual Styles enabled:
BitBlt 48.5 milliseconds

Windows 7 Visual Styles disabled:
BitBlt 1.5 ms

Windows XP:
BitBlt less than 0.1 ms

Any hints about this issue and how I can improve performacne with window 7?

ok, the answer is ... switch off aero :-) by using window 7 basic design.
